Configuring a barcode scanner
Note: After you turn on the scanner, if you are using it for the first time, the scanner is in search mode and the blue LED flashes three times every second. If the scanner is already paired with an iOS device, the blue LED flashes twice every second.
- Turn on the Lightspeed Scanner by pressing the trigger button once.
You will hear a long beep followed by two short beeps. - On your iPad, turn Bluetooth ON from the Settings app.
- When aScan appears in the list of Bluetooth devices, select it to begin the pairing process. During the pairing process the blue LED on the scanner flashes once every three seconds. When the pairing is complete, the status of the device changes from Not Paired to Connected.
When the pairing process is complete, you can begin scanning barcodes into Lightspeed Retail iPad apps.
