Verifone VX520 paper feed
In the BoxThe Verifone VX 520 ships with a power adapter, telephone line cable, and roll of thermal paper.Connect the TerminalThe credit card terminal needs an ethernet or phone line connection to be able to communicate with the processor and run transactions.*Ethernet cable must be purchased separately.- Remove the cover from the bottom of the terminal.
- Connect an ethernet cable to the 'ETH' port OR the included telephone line cable to the phone port.An ethernet connection is recommended for faster transaction speed.
- Connect the power adapter to the leftmost port.
- Replace the back cover.
- Plug the ethernet cable into a numbered port on the router OR connect the telephone cable to a wall jack.The telephone cable needs to be connected to an analog wall jack. It should use a dedicated line that is not shared with other devices.
- Plug the power adapter into an outlet. The terminal boots up automatically.
- Press the 'F3' button to get to the main menu.
- The terminal is set up and ready to process a transaction.
Load the Paper- Lift up the latch to open the paper cover.
- Drop the roll of paper into the printer tray with the paper feeding up from the bottom.
- Close the cover with the end of the paper sticking out.
- Tear off the excess paper and the terminal is ready to print.
- Remove the cover from the bottom of the terminal.
